Is OnlineTextLab really free?
Yes. Every tool is free with no account and no paid tier. The site is funded by display ads, which are never placed inside the tool controls.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. PDF, image, document, data and text tools run in your browser, so the file stays on your device. You can check this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, watch the Network tab, and run a tool. The one exception is the SEO tools, which fetch the public web page you ask them to check.
Do you use cookies?
The tools themselves do not need cookies. Analytics and advertising do use them, and visitors in regions that require it are asked first. You can change your choice any time from Cookie settings in the footer.
How large a file can I use?
There is no fixed site limit, because your own device does the work. Each tool warns you when a file is likely to be too big for the memory available. Most phones and laptops handle PDFs of up to around 100 MB.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. The tools work in current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge on phones, tablets and computers, with nothing to install.
Can I use the results for commercial work?
Yes. Whatever you make with these tools is yours to use however you like.
